Pauli

Last Saturday I did a long yet tiring psychology test for a certain purpose. It’s literally long, started at 8 a.m. till 5 p.m.! You could imagine how exhausted it was..

At the test I found one interesting test so called Pauli test. It was my first experience doing Pauli, a test in which you should calculate a very long row and column of numbers, adding every 2 column, moved again to the other column, repeated it again, & when the instructor yelling ‘’garis’’ you should make a short line under your last calculation. The best part was the work sheet size! It was an impressive A5 paper.. and.. it’s back and forth! LOL

It was quite interesting for me, because actually, the numbers were only one digit in each row, and whenever the calculation exceed 2 digit, you only write the last digit. But there were lots of number here and there, hence it could distract your focus as well.

After we finished the test, I asked to my friend-who once had done the same test-about what’s the purpose of Pauli, she said that it measured your consistency in work, how fast you feel bored with one task and your future performance which proved with the consistency of the ‘line’ you drew when the instructor terribly yelling at you while you were focus calculating your task.

I was like only ‘’oh…’’ at the end of our conversation.

Well, I don’t t know how the result will be but, yeah, I thought psychology test is quite unique and confusing. From pauli, to drawing tree, from matching words to solving problems, from interviews to imagining shapes…

Yeah, maybe I should read more about it to know why, how, and what is the purpose of them all since maybe I would do the same test again and again for different purposes.

Happy Monday all! (:
